You can get free at the KAMAKURA tourist information center(next to KAMAKURA St.) or some shops.

This map has not only Japanese compositon but also English one. If you know more, Pls check this site (japanese main). Enjoy KAMAKURA trip!

Guide Book for Tokyo Natural Sweets

What I recommend is the Natural Organic Sweets. This book guides many shops of natural sweets at Tokyo. (It' japanese only)

As you know, sweets have a power to make people happy. But at the same time, sugar can cause problems for our health.

Do you know the differences btween simple sugar and complex sugar? Simple sugar is white sugar, it's refined. This sugar raises the blood sugar level suddenly. This action tasks our body very much.The other hand, complex sugar raises the blood sugar level moderately.

Most of natural organic sweets are using complex sugar or natural sugar, for example AMAZAKE, rice malt sugar and maple sugar and so on. They have a gentle sweetnes and of course they are delicious !!

So I strongly recommend the natural organic sweets. If when you want to eat something sweet, please try these sweets !!

Japanese sweets style cafe@SUGAMO


Kanro Shichihukujin is traditional Japanese sweets cafe. 
(There is a only japanese web site.)
This cafe is located at SUGAMO in TOKYO.
It's 7~8 minutes walk from SUGAMO Station.(Yamanote-line)

Their menu is all macrobiotic sweets.
So it's also vegan and organic.

BON@TOKYO for vegetarian

The other day I went to the BON. It's a restaurant of vegetarian cuisine of ZEN buddist. The food was so dericious !! I really recommend this restaurant. Lunch is more reasonable than night.

Not only the food taste but also the looks are so fantastic !!

too hard to eat.....


I made caramels of millet powder, rice syrup and almond.
(add a pinch of salt and cinnamon, too)
It's looks like nice but too hard to eat....
I'll make refinement by adding some maple syrup or sugar next time.

Power of Soup by macrobiotic

Today soup is a littele Yang taste fravor
because I drunk a beer and Japanease SAKE yesterday. :)
(It made me a Ying condition....)

Contents of Soup
-Burdok(GOBOU)
-Caroot
-MUGI(wheat) MISO&MAME(soy bean) MISO
-made stock with dried SHIITAKE mushroom and KONBU seaweed.

Roots vegetable is Yang vegetable.
So give us warm and power.
(MAME MISO is same too. Stronger than MUGI MISO)

They are also in season now in Japan.
Taste is good!
